How to find us

New Economy is located on the 6th Floor of Churchgate House, 56 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6EU. This is in the city centre and very close to the Palace Theatre but on the opposite side of the road.

Directions

By car – From A57 (M) (Mancunian Way – east bound)

• Leave the A57 (M) at the junction with the A5103, heading towards Manchester Central Convention Centre (formerly called GMex) and Beetham Tower.
• Take the first right onto the B6469 – Whitworth Street that runs parallel with the railway line.
• At the junction with the A34 (in front of the Palace Theatre) turn left onto Oxford Street.
• Churchgate House is on the left hand side 30 metres from the lights after Sainsburys.
• Turn left onto Great Bridgewater Street for the nearest car park.

By train

• Oxford Road Station is the nearest station to our office: just a two minute walk. There are regular trains to Piccadilly Rail Station from Oxford Road Station.
• Piccadilly Rail Station is a ten minute walk away mainly along Whitworth Street. There are regular trains to Oxford Road Station from Piccadily Station.
• We are a 15 minute walk from Victoria Rail Station.
• Salford Central station is also a 15 minute walk away.

By Metrolink

• The nearest Metrolink (tram) stop is St. Peters Square on the Altrincham/Eccles lines. This is just 2 minutes walk from our office.
• On leaving Churchgate House you can get a tram to Piccadilly bus station, Piccadily Rail Station or Victoria Rail Station.

By Bus

• A number of buses stop outside or nearby. Piccadilly Gardens bus station is 5 minutes walk away. Check TfGM website for exact bus times.
• Metroshuttle are three free minibus services serving the city centre with two services stopping near our offices. The number 3 service starting at Piccadilly Rail Station stops on Oxford Street after the junction with Portland Street. The number 2 service starts and ends at Oxford Rail Station with numerous city centre stops including Deansgate Rail/Metrolink and Victoria Railway Station.

By Coach

• Manchester coach station (Chorlton Street) is 5 minutes walk away and just before Piccadillly bus station.

Taxi

• If you require a taxi on your return journey then the nearest black cab stand is at Sainsburys opposite the Palace. 1 minute walk away.

Airport

• The Airport is seven miles to the south of the city centre. There is a regular train service to Manchester Piccadilly from the Airport. Coaches and buses to Manchester are also available at the Airport.
