Internships
New Economy is devoted to attracting and retaining the best talent in the City Region. As part of this process, we are building an internship programme.
The internship is focused within the research team, and is designed to develop the candidate’s knowledge of the local economy, and contribute to the growth and success of the Manchester city region. Interns will take on a variety of roles – from working with the research team on strategic development initiatives to spending time in one of our partner organisations.
Previous interns have had the opportunity to develop strategies for talent attraction, airport connectivity, unemployment reduction policies, and wider economic strategies.
Our last intern, Joel Baker, joined us from Manchester Economics, and is a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh. To find out more about Joel, and previous interns, click here.
Unfortunately, the Commission is not currently in the process of recruiting for the intern post. Please check back here regularly for updates on when the Commission will be recruiting.
