European Funding

New Economy sources European Funding opportunities for partners in the City Region. Popular examples include:

• European Regional Development Funding (2007-2013 competitiveness programme and INTERREG IVB and IVC programmes)
• European Social Fund
• Rural Development Programme for England (2007-2013)
• Intelligent Energy European Programme
• Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)

Each opportunity is reviewed in the context of the Greater Manchester Strategy and partners’ core activities. The objective is to ensure the funding can underpin and empower the work of our City Region.

New Economy provides strong sub-regional coordination and promotion of the North West Operational Programme (NWOP).

New Economy participates in transnational work. Recent projects have included:
