Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership

The Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) proposal has been submitted to Government and we are now awaiting a formal response.

It is proposed that AGMA will move rapidly to establish a shadow LEP using the existing partnership arrangements available across Greater Manchester. This will enable us to work with Government and our partners to maintain a focus on our key priorities as we manage an orderly transition to this new arrangement.

There has been extensive interest in membership of this new body, and we are keen that many people and organisations should be able to play their part in the continued growth of Greater Manchester. To enable this, there will be a transparent and open recruitment process for the full LEP, which will be developed by AGMA and overseen by the partnership of the Business Leadership Council and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Further details on this process will be announced once we have received a response from Government to our proposals.

We are grateful for your interest and your constructive contributions to the development of our strategy. AGMA is intending to hold a business summit later this year where future plans for the LEP will be made available to interested parties across Greater Manchester. In the meantime, if you would like further information on any aspect of our LEP proposal, please contact LEP@neweconomymanchester.com
