Smith to lead on Skills and Employment for Greater Manchester

Dr Lis Smith, joins New Economy as Director of Skills and Employment on secondment from NWDA commencing 6 October 2010.

Lis has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the education, learning and skills agenda, covering 20 years of working within the sector, both in Universities and, most recently for the NWDA, having had responsibility for leading the national RDA lead roles for DIUS, DWP and DCSF.

Mike Emmerich, Chief Executive, New Economy says:
