Regional Strategy 2010 Consultation Event

Regional Strategy 2010 – Part 1 High-Level Strategic Framework
Consultation Event – Tuesday 23rd February 09.00 – 13.00
City of Manchester Stadium

The NWDA and 4NW are holding a region-wide consultation to inform the development of the Northwest’s new integrated Regional Strategy 2010 (RS2010).

RS2010 provides a unique opportunity to bring together the region’s spatial, economic, social and environmental strategies and build a new long term vision for the Northwest.

A draft Part 1 consultation document has now been prepared. It has been informed by the development of a substantial evidence base, as well as the Principles and Issues consultation in 2009, which agreed the headline vision, outcomes and values on which RS2010 should be based.

Part 1 provides an overarching vision and proposes the strategic priorities where working together we will maximise our opportunities and address our challenges. Part 2 and an Implementation Framework will set out the detailed policies and actions to deliver the strategic priorities and will be prepared later this year.

The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities and the Commission for the New Economy in partnership with the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and 4NW, would like to invite you to a consultation event for Greater Manchester on Tuesday 23rd February. You are invited to hear more about the RS2010 and how you can help to shape the strategy. The event will also be an opportunity to hear about the progress that is being made on the development of the Greater Manchester Strategy (GMS) and how you can get involved.
