Next Generation Broadband

We know that businesses in Greater Manchester need the best possible high speed quality digital infrastructure to compete in the global market. This is a key priority for New Economy. We are fortunate in having BT and Virgin Media both offering new next generation broadband services in Greater Manchester. However, we cannot afford to stand still and work is underway to determine how we can best meet the needs of those businesses that will need very high speed services to realise their potential.

New Economy is working very closely with the Manchester Digital Development Agency, local authorities and the NWDA and partners across the industry to determine what needs to be done to make this happen. A key part of this work is to assess the opportunity for local authorities to improve their way of working by sharing costs and services in this area.
