Greater Manchester in a global debate about internalisation strategies

On 8 July New Economy was invited, along with representatives of 15 metropolitan regions from around the world, to participate in a debate about internationalisation strategies implemented by large metropolises.

The debate was held as part of the “Metropolitan Areas International Strategies Conference" organised by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, the Euro-latin American Alliance of Cooperation Between Cities AL-LAS and the Barcelona Institute of International Studies in collaboration with the European Union and the Government of Mexico City.

The event was an opportunity to exchange experiences and share the work that Greater Manchester is currently undertaking in relation to its Internalisation Strategy, and also and opportunity to strengthen ties with cities like New York, Montreal, Johannesburg, Lima, Mexico City, Paris or Medellín.

Note: The GM Internalisation Strategy will be launched in early 2017.
